Norah Head Coastal Walk Map: Toukley

Pretty coastal walk with opportunities for swimming, Cabbage Tree Harbour Pool, Soldiers Beach or Pelican Point. Some bush tracks and maybe a bit of beach walking on hard sand, and interesting rock platforms. Will determine distance on day depending on weather, but could be 10-12 kms if we get to Pelican Point.

Cowan Creek from Berowa Station to Ku Ring Gai Station.
Steep down and up at beginning and end. Approx 180m elevation on well-formed tracks.
A couple of small creek crossings. Approx 9k Leisurely pace.

A lovely ride, mostly on bike tracks & quiet country roads passing around Grahamstown Dam.

Let's catch up and spend a few nights at the Crowdy Head Beach Camp. Lots of walks and the beach. People can either camp or grab a motel in nearby Harrington, 2 and a half hours north from Newcastle or camp in the national park with me.

Bouddi National Park and Box Head Map: Broken Bay, Distance 28 km
Day 1: Lookout on the Scenic Road to Little Bay. 5 km

Day 2: Little Bay to Putty Beach. 9 km

Day 3: Putty Beach to Tallow Beach and pack free to Box Head. 8 km

Day 4: Return to cars at Lookout. 6 km

Walkers who wish to only do one or two sections most welcome.

Davistown Walk & Lunch Map: Gosford

Train to Woy Woy.  Board ferry to Davistown, short flat walk along foreshore of Illoura Reserve to Davistown RSL for lunch. Lunch/snack specials & outdoor tables available to bring your own.

Ferry back to Woy Woy & train home.  Ferry approx. $8 return.  Approx. 6 km

Bike Ride

Brightwaters to Cooranbong return - 43 km easy grade Map: Google

Ride along cycle/walkways, some roads, some bridges, including the new Dora Creek Bridge

approaching the Avondale University. Return via Lakeview Road for lunch stop and then

proceed to cars at Brightwaters.

Meet at Brightwaters Park, Brightwaters. To get there - drive along Fishery Point Road until turn right onto Bay Vista Road, then left on Buttaba Road - the park is on the left.

Bring morning tea or buy at Cooranbong Village. Lunch at Leaders home, Lakeview Road, Morisset Park, beside the lake. Tea, coffee and cake provided.

Put in near Sailing Club at Masons Parade Gosford, past swimming pool. Paddle Point Frederick, Caroline Bay, Peeks Point and under the Punt Bridge. Paddle Erina Creek as far as possible then return. PFDs compulsory. Approx 14ks.

Gosford to Woy Woy Map: Gosford

A one-way walk along the shared pathway between Gosford and Woy Woy. Some shade, and the cooling influence of the waterfront. Fairly level, distance about 11 kms.   Train to Gosford and return by train from Woy Woy.   If it's hot, we could catch a bus for the first km from the train Station to the proper start of the pathway.

Undercliffs off Murrell’s Road Map: Quorrobolong Distance: 5-8 kms.

An exploratory walk including some interesting caves and great views.

Tuggerah Lake - North Entrance, Eel Haul Bay, Canton Beach Maps: Toukley, Wyong.

(High Tide 1225 at bridge). Put in Picnic Point off Tuggerah Pde at The Entrance. Approx 16ks. Paddle channel between Terilbah Island and North Entrance. Follow shoreline along Eel Haul Bay, skirting Wyrrabalong N.P. to Canton Beach. Return along same shore and then along other side of Terilbah Island to finish. PFDs compulsory.

Initially walk from Ourimbah Creek Road out and back along GNW to the Palm Grove Camp site.
